Motus Echo is a newly formed indie rock band from Lancashire, United Kingdom. The band members hail from the same music college that produced rock legends such as The Verve, Starsailor, and Gomez—two of whom they’ve had the honor of collaborating with members of. Lead singer and songwriter Jay Gaskell is also a bestselling novelist under the pen name JJ Richards, while percussionist and versatile musician Jim Lewis has written and performed with numerous bands, earning widespread acclaim for his work.

This latest project was born out of necessity, serving as a form of musical therapy, catharsis, and emotional release. The band hopes to connect with like-minded listeners who resonate with the themes of their songs, offering a sense of togetherness and collective release - hence the band name (with Motus being the Latin for 'Emotion'). The music explores the deep human need for connection in a world that feels increasingly disconnected, despite the rapid advancement of technology.
